Is Personal Development Life Coaching For Me?
For over 20 years, I’ve been guiding good people past the stagnating mental and emotional roadblocks that shackle them in place and prevent them from secure relationships with themselves, as well as secure, healthy relationships with others. Through my experience, I’ve learned that there are just a handful of big issues that keep us stuck in a rut. These include:
- A lack of awareness and resistance to 'what is'
- Trouble dealing with the emotional content of their problems
- Believing the narratives about things that happened in the distant past that might not necessarily be true today.
- Uncertainty on how to make changes
- Fear of getting help - Fear of making changes
You might have gotten a little help in the past from other life coaches or therapists, but there is a chance that you’re falling back into the same patterns. If this describes you, there’s a high likelihood that the whole problem you were facing wasn’t tackled. You cut the weed but didn’t pull the root. It happens all the time, unfortunately.
We all learn and grow in different ways. Every guide has their own techniques and exercises to help their clients and not every method is effective for everyone. With the right guidance, you can defeat your inner demons and thrive.
Human beings are motivated by three foundational forces: thoughts, emotions, and wants (goals, dreams, desires). Success happens when all three of these foundational forces are clarified and managed well. My life’s work has been dedicated to helping people gain awareness of who they are, manage their thoughts and emotions, and to have the strength and trust in themselves to begin to reach goals they felt they never could reach.
My blog is part of that work, as is The Maxx Method system of personal development life coaching. The Maxx Method is a six-part holistic system of evidenced-based tools, concepts and exercises I use in my coaching. Think of it as Maximized Personal Development. It is the heart of my career and the framework used for my book The Maxx Method: How To Love Yourself And Become Who You Are Meant To Be, available here on Amazon.
The MAXX Method was Developed to:
- Help you manage unpleasant emotions such as anger, sadness, loneliness, and shame.
- Identify your inner critic and discover ways to change negative core beliefs
- Uncover and resolve old wounds that keep you stuck in unhealthy patterns and relationships.
- Show you how to find lasting, meaningful relationships, find deep love, and find greater joy out of life.
- And most importantly, to motivate you to take action now!

The Maxx Method: MAXXimum Framework for Personal Development. METHOD is an acronym for:
MINDFULNESS
The quality or state of being conscious or aware; a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.
We’re all capable of mindfulness. If you didn’t have some you wouldn’t be able to function! However, the more we can develop it the clearer we can see ourselves. It is a mirror for your being. Sometimes we are aware, but we are resistant to ‘what is,’ and that will keep you stuck.
EMOTIONS
A strong feeling (such as love, joy, or fear) often accompanied by a physical sensation in the body.
We aren’t taught how to handle our emotions in a healthy manner. Those physical sensations that come with emotions can be unpleasant or even debilitating! The Maxx Method will give you emotional management tools that will help you express your emotions without compromising your life.
THOUGHTS
The ideas and opinions produced — often suddenly — in the conscious mind through reason or deduction.
The Maxx Method aims to allow people to manage their thoughts and learn that our thinking fuels our emotions, behaviors, actions, and self-worth. You will learn the negative thinking patterns and core beliefs that you are holding onto are both untrue and often irrational – With practice and effort you will learn how your thoughts fuel your emotions and will be able to transform your thinking in a healthy manner that allows your thoughts to work for you instead of against you.
HEALING
Moving beyond the painful experiences of our past through compassion and awareness.
We often bury painful issues and past trauma, but unless we become aware of them and properly address them, we may never move past them. The Maxx Method incorporates a number of exercises such as visualization, letter writing, disputing self-defeating beliefs, and inner child work to facilitate healing so you can move forward with your life and truly “let go.”
OWN YOUR DREAMS
Once we’ve healed ourselves, we begin to get aligned with our dreams again.
We cannot reach our goals and live out our dreams if we are unable to fully articulate them. Once you gain emotional intelligence and rid yourself of negative thinking and unhealthy habits, you will start to dream again and take the steps necessary to find real, tangible success in your life, your relationships and in your career.
DO IT NOW!
Discover areas where you get stuck and learn how to execute on your wants and desires.
It is one thing to have a dream or make a set of goals, but without the proper mindset and tools to execute, success will remain elusive. The Maxx Method will teach you the tools that identify how you are stuck and how to move forward.
If you are having struggling with unpleasant emotions, negative core beliefs, self-doubt, or relationship issues, this blog, website, and The Maxx Method are for you. My mission is to raise the world’s self-worth and emotional intelligence, one person at a time.
